Week 10
Mood:  cool
Topic: Class Tasks
Hi

This week let's take a look at fashion. First I want you to buy yourself two new outfits: one smart, one casual. Don't worry about the money, it's all free today!! Go shopping and then tell us on your blog, what you bought and why.

1) Buy 2 outfits: one smart, one casual

Let's start on the high street with my favorite UK clothes stores:

Next is a leading high street store. It offers a good choice of classic but fashionable clothes at a good price. It's probably the shop I use most and there is a Next store in Nanba!

Paul Smith is a bit cooler and a bit more expensive.

French Connection is the store I bought my favorite trousers ever and my first suit for work.

Jigsaw has nothing for men - sorry - but some great things for women. Boys, buy something for your girlfriend or your sister or even your mum!

2) Now let's review what will be hitting us next year. Check out the following British designers Spring 2006 collections and tell us which you like the best and why!
Stella McCartney
Paul Smith again!
Vivienne Westwood
Jasper Conran

Which do you like best? Why? Please blog it to us now!

If you have any time over, check out your favorite stores or designers and tell us about them too! Please include URLs (links).

Week 2: Blogging Along
Mood:  on fire
Topic: Class Tasks
The paperwork is finished and we are really ready to blog.

The aim of this course is for you to make an interesting blog that is read by many people. Each week we will have different tasks that will help you do this. An important part ofeach week is to look at other people's blogs and leave comments. And answer the comments that other people left on your blog.

Let's look at the blogs you made last week. The addresses for your classmate's blogs are in the margin on the left.

1) Visit each blog and leave a comment. You can ask a question, provide more information about the topic of the blog, or tell something about yourself.

2) Next, look at your blog. Is your first post interesting and well-written? Do you think visitors will want to visit your blog again? If the answer is no, then please write something interesting!! You can write a new post or edit the one you already wrote.

Give some more details about yourself - What kind of music?
What's your favorite band? Why? How do you feel when you listen to this band? Have you ever seen them live?
What do you want to do after graduation? What are your ambitions? What did you eat for lunch today? Was it good?

Remember your blog may be visitied by people from all over the world, so let's make them want to come back!! Please introduce yourself in an interesting and new way!!

3) Your next post will be about your favorite website or a website you like a lot. Think about this... But first read the entry below that my 6 year old daughter Meg wrote.

Please visit her favorite website and play a few games.
Then come back and leave a comment after her entry to tell her what you thought of it.

4) If you have time, you can introduce your favorite website on your blog. Remember to provide details about why you like it like Meg does!

5) Finally, if you still have time, explore some oif the links on this page or reply to the comments on your blog.

Topic: Class Tasks
My favorite website is Starfall. I like it very much because it's funny. I can play lots of games. The best is "All about Me" and the pumpkin one, but some books are good too. It's funny. You can click on the pictures and the mouse jumps or something. Peg the Hen and My Family are good. I like the star game too. I want you to have fun.
